Hi all,
This is the official request to sign up to work the pancake breakfast. The pancake breakfast is Monday, April 17th (Patriots’ Day). PLEASE NOTE: Due to this being Easter Weekend, we are moving the setup time previously planned for Thursday to Saturday afternoon. Those of you signed up for Thursday, may need to rethink your assignments. Please let me know.
Also, anyone who cannot be there for Saturday, Sunday or Monday, but is available ahead of time could roll napkins (at home even). Please volunteer in that way if you cannot be there to help on the three main days.
Here is brief description of the jobs:
Set up: Set up the grills, the batter mixer and other kitchen items. Wash the serving utensils, dishes and other hardware. Set up the drinks serving tables. Organize all supplies. Roll plastic forks and knives into napkins (1500). Cut oranges into slices (garnish for 1500 plates).
Kitchen: Mix batter for pancakes, dispense batter onto grills, cook pancakes, move pancakes from grill to warming oven to serving areas.
Serving: Set up plates and serve people. We now have a second serving area for the VIPs. This area needs to be supplied and manned.
Front: Make coffee, hot chocolate, tea, orange juice and basically keep the drinks serving area supplied (also VIP serving area).
Clean up: Clean grills, kitchen and basically return everything to its original state.
The boys are generally responsible for setting up tables and chairs and for putting them away. They are also responsible for hauling stuff to and from our storage area in the other building. They need some assistance at times from the setup and cleanup crews.
