Canoe Merit Badge Training: This Saturday, May 13, from 10:30AM to 1:00PM at the Old Res. We will have canoes, paddles, PFDs , actual experts, fun activities. Consider being prepared to get wet.
The Canoe Camping Trip: Saturday, June 3rd and Sunday, June 4th. Meet at the church at 8AM Saturday. Load-up and drive to the Ipswich River, paddle the beautiful Ipswich River to the Audubon Society’s Perkins Island, make camp, have diner and a Campfire. Sunday, paddle out; home by early afternoon. Paddlers of all skill levels are welcome, adults included. If you have a canoe, it is welcome as well. There will be sign-up forms available at the next few meetings. All participants must have passed the BSA 100 yard swim test, last year at Camp is OK, but the Troop will make sure there is another opportunity to take the test before the trip.
