Two adult leaders from Troop160 received awards tonight (May 2, 2007) at the District Awards Banquet which was held at Winchester Country Club. Hank Manz, our Scoutmaster, received the District Award of Merit. This award is the highest award that can be given to a Scouter of a district who has rendered exceptional service on a Unit or District level. John Woodhouse received the “Boy Scout Leader of the Year Award”. This award is presented to a leader who has demonstrated superior leadership, knowledge and dedication for the betterment of the Boy Scouting program.

I have always known that we have an incredible group of adult leaders who are committed to scouting, and it is nice to receive some recognition of that dedication from outside the troop. Please join me in congratulating Hank & John.
