Attention scouts and parents:

My name is Charlie MacDonald and I am doing my Eagle project this weekend (March 15 – March 16) and I need as much help as I can get. My project is at the Hayden Boardwalk and we will be doing several different things to make the area look even nicer and make the experience more enjoyable. We will be cleaning graffiti off the benches, sweeping the boardwalk, removing pavement chunks from the forest area, and lastly fix an erosion problem by putting in erosion bars and digging trenches.

If you can go and need the service hours, we will be meeting at the Hayden Skating Rink (or if you don’t know where that is then go to the Lincoln Field and walk down to the boardwalk entrance) at 9:00AM on saturday. We will have a 20 minute to half hour safety meeting and then we will get to work. I will be their till 4:00PM on Saturday, and 10:00AM to 4:00PM on Sunday. Food and water will be provided.

If you are going you should wear a long sleeved shirt, jeans, boots or sturdy shoes, and a sweater (if necessary). Also, if you have working or gardening gloves, please bring them if you can. I will be making another announcement at Thursday’s meeting and I will have a sign-up sheet their so you can write down how long you can be there and what you would prefer to do.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns you can e-mail me at Redsoxcm -at- hotmail -dot- com. Thank you, and please remember that any help you can give, even for an hour or so, is greatly appreciated. ALSO, wear clothes you don’t care about and high boots because it will be muddy!!!

Thank You Troop 160 Parents and Scouts,

Charlie MacDonald
