Hi, all,
It’s that time of the year — Spring is in the air and we are exactly 4 weeks from Patriots Day, April 21 when we will host our annual Pancake Breakfast. As most of you know, this is our only fund raising event for the troop and, more importantly, it is one in which the town of Lexington and the entire troop show their mutual support and appreciation. And the event will go on, rain or shine, or storm, but hopefully we will have nice weather.
As in previous years, the Pancake Breakfast needs a lot of your generous help. And I suspect that most of you will be eager to sign up asap for this year’s job list. This year there is a slight change of management: ex-manager Charles Hatvany is officially taking it easy but in fact will help me out at every step, and Ginny Caples has agreed to be the assistant manager (thanks, Ginny). If you have any question, please contact one of us or send us an email at pancakes@troop160.com.
For sign-up information, please visit the 2008 Pancake Breakfast sign-up sheet. After you check out the job list, you can email us and let us know which position you want. It’s mostly first come first serve, and I will update the list at least once a day. Scouts will sign up separately for the two regular shifts on April 21, and there is no requirement that you and your son’s schedules overlap. I would really appreciate if you would sign up early to reduce any anxiety attack I may have in the coming weeks!
Thanks,
Franco Wong
