2009 Pancake Breakfast sign-up

Hi, all,

I hope everyone had a wonderful and restful winter break and is getting for the big Spring break event of Troop 160: Patriots Day Pancake Breakfast on April 20, 2009 (always Monday, of course).

As most of you know, the Pancake Breakfast is our only fund-raising event for the troop and therefore we need all the help from scouts and parents.  Not only is it a highlight for the townspeople, plus people doing the reenactment and parade, it is also a chance for us to get to know each other better and work together.  And it is a lot of fun.  Yes, maybe bleary eyes at the end of the day, but certainly a lot of nonstop fun.

The sign-up sheet is now up and running on the troop 160 web site. You can check the current (updated every 2-4 hours) status of the positions that are available.  Click here to send me an email to let me know which slot(s) you would like to do.  Please reserve the dates to be around to help.  Sign up early to get your favorite positions!!!!  My first sign-up was made last year: June 12.  It’s never too early to sign up!

Thanks,
Franco Wong

Adult Volunteers Needed!!!

Hi everyone,

We have a need for adults to fill the following two positions:

1)  Pancake Breakfast Assistant Manager – Franco Wong is the Manager/Coordinator of the annual Pancake Breakfast on Patriots’ Day.  As you all know, this is the Troop’s only fundraiser of the year, and it is quite an undertaking!  Franco is looking for someone to be his Assistant Manager to help him with organizing and running this great event.

2) Coordinator for the Rod & Gun Club Trip – we need an adult to coordinate the trip to the Hudson Rod & Gun Club that will take place during the weekend of May 2, 2009 – May 3, 2009.

Please let me know ASAP if you are willing to help out with one of these positions.

Thanks,

Margaret Stebbins
