The Great Book Migration 5/14/09

I normally warn a lot earlier than this, but a massive calendar crash made me electronically forget until a few minutes ago.

As most of you know, we always help out the nice people who run the Friends of Cary Library.  FOCL has a twice-yearly book sale and it is the Boy Scouts who move around 8,000 books from the storage areas to the sale areas.  To New Scouts, 8,000 volumes may seem like a lot, but we typically do the job in around 90 minutes.

So join me this Thursday to help move books.  This is a joint 119-160 operation, of course.  Officially we will start at 5 PM with pizza and soft drinks served not later that 6:30 PM.  That should put you at your Scout meeting well ahead of schedule.  If you can’t make it by 5, then come when you can.

So–this Thursday.  5 PM.  Pizza and soft drinks in the library.  Wear your uniform.  Class B or Class A–it doesn’t matter.  Team picture after the move.  Adults welcome.

Hope to see you there!
