Birthday party for Father Colletti

As you know, Troop 160 is sponsored by St. Brigid’s. Fr. Colletti is being honored at a 75th birthday party at the Parish Hall this Sunday from 4-6 PM. If Scouts and their parents wanted to drop in for a few minutes and wish Fr. Colletti a happy birthday, I am sure he would be honored. And, if Scouts wore their Class A shirts, that would not be a bad thing. :-)

White Mountains Camping Trip 2009, Columbus Day Weekend

Troop 160 Scouts and Adults,

Our annual White Mountains camping trip over Columbus Day Weekend is only two weeks away!  This is a reminder that the response deadline for this trip is tonight.  Please bring your forms and payment to tonight’s troop meeting if you haven’t already done so.  It’s important that we know who is planning on participating, both scouts and adults, in order to properly plan for the trip.  After tonight, the registration fee increases.  Attached is the registration form.

Yours in scouting,
Charlie Marge

Equipment needed

We have several Scouts who are close to completing Small Boat Sailing merit badge. Most need only to demonstrate that they know how to right a capsized craft.

If you own or can borrow a Sunfish or Sailfish or similar small craft, we need it for about three hours on the 26th. If nobody has one to loan us, any pointers on where we can rent one would be helpful. A sailing dingy would suffice, but a Sunfish or similar craft is a lot easier to work with.

Please reply to me if you know where we can get one.
