Dear Hank & John,

As we discussed last night, I would like to invite Troop 160 scouts to participate in community service at Temple Isaiah on Sunday, October 25. We need several scouts to help carry in donations for the annual Rummage Sale.  Many donations come in from older citizens, and they need help carrying things in from cars.  In the past several years, Troop 119 has provided this service – I would like to extend the opportunity to any boys from Troop 160 who might need service hours or who simply enjoy helping out.

The collection takes place from 9 am til 1 pm, on Sunday October 25.  As an added incentive, the volunteers always have an opportunity to ‘shop’ at the end of their shift, with some real treasures sometimes found.

Thanks for passing this along to the boys in your troop.  Interested kids should contact me at gshevrin@gmail.com.  Last minute participants can simply show up, but it will be helpful if we know how many kids to expect.
