We had a tremendously successful morning at the Riverside Gun Club in Hudson today.  Eleven scouts were able to achieve their target shooting requirements and therefore finish all of their requirements for their Rifle Shooting MB.

The instructors gave the scouts over 3 hours of constant attention.  The rifles (I was told by the scouts themselves) were far superior to those rifles used at summer camp and therefore led to the high success rate today (even the quarters that we used to verify shot placement were real quarters)!!!  The shooting range was nicely set up to accomodate all of the scouts.  All told they shot over 1,000 rounds!

The scouts all personally thanked the instructors for their time, exhibiting the proper spirit of Troop 160.  Also, thanks to Peter Childs and Lynn Eriksen for joining me this morning in transporting scouts and staying the morning to assist with supervision.
