With a turnout significantly higher than that seen for the recent Town elections, Troop 160 decided to stay with incumbent, Ben Estabrooks, as the SPL for the next six months.  The pre-election presentations by the candidates followed by a Q-and-A from the floor were very helpful.

My thanks to Matthew Shorter who lost a close election, but who provided some interesting insights into how the troop could function more efficiently.  I am sure we will be implementing several of his suggestions.

I am not ready to publish the list of patrols because we are missing few names and because the Scoutmaster is having trouble reading some of the writing on the patrol lists.  Hard to believe that somebody has handwriting worse than mine …  I will be going over the lists with the SPL this week so we can get a corrected list out at the next meeting.  I do like the patrol name Happy Fluffy Bunnies, by the way.
