One more note for those going on the white water rafting trip:

A parent reminded me today that I had not reminded everyone of our departure schedule for the white water rafting trip.

Because we have a four hour (or more) drive on a Friday afternoon, we need everyone at St. Brigid Church at 3:15pm on Friday, May 21st, with all their gear, ready to go.  I hope to be pulling out of the parking lot at 3:30pm.  We need to leave on time to avoid Friday traffic and get to the campsite before sundown (which is about 8:30pm in Maine).

Again, that’s:

White Water Trip Departure
Friday, May 21st at 3:15pm (we will leave at 3:30pm)
St. Brigid Church parking lot

See you on Friday!

The Friends of Cary Library Great Book Migration

Troops 119 and 160 have an ongoing service project.  Twice a year we help the Friends of Cary Library move around 8,000 books from storage to the sale area.  They allow about three hours to do the work, but we do it in just one and then we eat pizza.

So here’s the plan.  All who want to help should show up on the lower level of Cary Library by 5:30 PM.  We will move all of the books and then we will eat pizza provided by those nice people from FOCL.  It is possible to knock off several requirements for various things:

1. Service hours for Boy Scouts or LHS
2. Library-related service hours
3. Talk to an elected official (this time you might even get the chairman of the Board of Selectmen)
4. Talk to a representative from a local service organization (Friends of Cary Library)

Plus you get to eat pizza in the library, something very few can boast about.

See you all Thursday evening.  Troop 119 is invited as well.

Troop 160 summer camp

Hello all,

I am missing some checks from people going to summer camp.  I NEED those checks.  We have to deposit them and then write a check.

If you have not given me your FINAL payment.  I need it now.  Please drop it by my house.  I really don’t want to have to call you up.  If you are not sure, shoot me an email and I will tell you.

If your son still wants to go.  Drop it off also.  This is the deadline for summer camp.
