Walk for Dyslexia support

Thank you to all the Scouts and adults from 119 and 160 who showed upto help with the Walk for Dyslexia.  We ended up standing around for an hour which was not totally unexpected, but then we ended up doing the setup, the cooking, the serving, and the breakdown.  We even helped fold the tent.

White Mountains Trip – DRIVERS NEEDED!!!!

Hi all,

Thanks to all of you who have volunteered to drive on the White Mountains trip next weekend!! The situation looks good for the drive up to Moose Brook on Saturday morning.  However, we still need drivers for the way back to Lexington on Monday morning. Please let me know ASAP if you can help out.

Thanks,
Margaret Stebbins

One more notice – Help needed with the Walk for Dyslexia

One more notice.  As I wrote yesterday, the Lexington Boy Scouts help each year with the Battle Green Walk for Dyslexia which is hosted by the local Masonic group.  4-6 Boy Scouts are needed to help with water distribution and such.  The hours are 10 AM -2 PM this Sunday, October 3rd, or whatever time you can give.  Either Scout or LHS service hours credit will be given.

If you are interested, send me an e-mail.  Come to the Learning Center which is on the grounds of the National Heritage Museum.  The gate to the Museum is at the intersection of Mass Ave and Marrett Road.  Come in through the gate, then bear left past the parking lot and drive to the Learning Center at the end of that road.  You will see a large white tent.  Check in there.

Lunch will be provided and there may also be some freebies like a T-shirt, water bottle, and baseball cap.

My apologies for the very short notice, but apparently the local organizers dropped the ball this year and forgot to talk to us.  Usually I get an e-mail warning at the very least, but even that was missed this year.  The contact with the Masons is via Wally Brown who will be at the event.  Mr. Brown is a long time Scouting volunteer.
