Re: Pancake Breakfast 2011 Signup

Hi, all parents,

The signup website was temporarily offline for a few hours this morning due to inspection by the hosting company for malicious contents.  That has been done and it is now up and running.  Please note that you need to add http:_// (without the underline) to the web address:
T160signup.webuda.com
but usually the browser does it for you.  Also, you cannot undo your signup in case you make a mistake.  Just email me and I will make the change for you.

Thanks, especially to those early birds who alerted me to the problem,
Franco

Pancake Breakfast 2011 Signup

Hi, all parents,

In case you have missed the announcement by Katie on last Thursday, Pancake Breakfast (PB) 2011 on Patriots Day will take place on April 18 this year.  Please reserve this date to have fun and help out for our only fund-raising event of the troop.

This year we will use web-based signup (thanks to Eliot Wong for setting it up) at the following web site: http://t160signup.webuda.com

Note that your input email address will not be displayed and its purpose is to allow me to contact you in case I have questions.

Please try to sign up early.  If you have questions, or if one or both of you cannot be there for that weekend, please send Katie Sultan (Manager) and me an email. Also, if you notice any technical issues with the signup, or if you want to make a change, send me an email.

This signup is for adults only and the scouts signup will be later in early April. You will be able to coordinate your shifts with your sons’ shifts at that time.

Thanks,
Franco Wong
Pancake Breakfast Co-Manager

Troop 160 Summer Camp – Deposits due March 4th – reminder

Hi all,

It is that time again!  Summer camp.  This is a great experience for
all out scouts.  We STRONGLY encourage all our scouts to go to both
weeks of summer camp.  The two camps provide different great experiences.

The weeks are:
Camp Bell  Aug 7 – 13
Hidden Valley Aug 14-20

Please read over the “Information Sheet” and return your deposits to
me, Jeff Shorter, by March 4th.

For some of the older scouts 14+ there are some high adventure options
(SPOKE and Valley Voyageur) that can also be coupled with the camps.

Where else can you get the great experiences for your son and two
weeks room, board, and transportation for $700?????

If you have any questions, email, call, or see me at the meetings.

Jeff Shorter
Summer Camp Coordinator

Deep Freeze Campout

Hello to all Troop 160 adults,

The final plans are coming together for the President’s Day Weekend Campout known as the “Deep Freeze.”  As of last week, we had roughly 25 scouts and 10 adults planning to go.  For anyone with a scout attending this activity, please review this information regarding meals.

Everyone brings their own bag lunch for Saturday and everyone will need money for a “fast food” lunch stop on the way home on Monday.  Because of limited kitchen space in the cabin to prepare dinner for all of the adults, we are asking families to provide food (in nonreturnable trays) that we can warm up in the oven or serve directly (i.e., salad, bread, fruit, dessert) for the adult volunteers for both dinners.  If you are willing to provide something, please let me know what you can offer, so we can plan the adult volunteer dinners accordingly.  Please reply to me and not “reply all”.

Thank you in advance for your help.

Yours in scouting,
Charlie
