The troop committee feels strongly that every Scout in Troop 160 should have the opportunity to participate in every troop event. This is especially true for summer camp, where Scouts work on advancement and much of their scouting experience. There are also other events during the year that require a financial commitment, some a greater commitment than others.

Troop 160 is prepared to provide assistance to any of our Scouts who have a financial need. The troop has one fundraiser every year, the Patriot’s Day Pancake Breakfast. The money raised from the Breakfast is earmarked for troop equipment and individual financial aid. Additionally, parents and others are welcome and encouraged to make a tax-deductible donation to the troop to support these same causes.

If you have a financial need, or you are aware of others that may have a need, please contact any of the following individuals for a confidential discussion:

  • George Kaplan, Financial Aid Coordinator
  • Lien Ho, Treasurer
  • John Woodhouse, Committee Chair
