Tonight Ronny Beaulieu became an Eagle Scout after an outstanding presentation to his board of review. Eagle Scoutmaster Conferences and Boards of Review are two of the most enjoyable things I do.
Congratulations to Ronny!

The Citizenship In The Community class is up to 27. They are doing well, but the big finale is the last class when we will hold a Town Meeting for the Town of Lexingtonia to see if the Town Meeting will vote for a debt exclusion for $15 million to build a pool for the Lexingtonia High School. There is no good way to make up that last class so 100% attendance is necessary.
A problem has arisen in that neither Monday nor Tuesday is shaping up as a good day. Athletic and school schedules are getting in the way big time.
So we HAVE to decide on a time and then stick to it.
By the way–I believe there are two Scouts who need this merit badge for their next rank. I will make some accommodation for that so they can receive their rank at the next COH, but they, too, must come to that final class.
So tonight come prepared to talk dates.
By the way–in some e-mail messages Yahoo dropped a character in the Web site URL. The correct one is:

Here is a gently reminder for all interested adults that our deadline for signing up for AMC cabins at Mt Washington adult climbing trip for August 19-21 is next week. I am copying & pasting Ann’s previous note.
Register soon. And I am pleased to say that there are a number of you that are interested, but we have until June 15th to register and then our unused reservations will be open to the public.
This is a bit pricey but well worth it. Almost all our food is included except on the trail and the AMC’s breakfasts and dinners are plentiful.
The “Highlands” is a really nice lodge by AMC standards. There is also an open area with a fireplace where people can congregate- then to add,a cheese and wine before dinner.
A note on your reservation. The number is 1-603-249-7117. When you make your reservation you need to reserve it under the LEXINGTON HIKING GROUP, for Fri Aug19- Sun Aug21st.
