Citizenship In The Community

Citizenship In The Community
The Web page for the class is up.  Go to www.cicmb.homestead.com to find the documents.  The class workbook has a couple of diagrams that did not come out exactly right, but we will worry about that later.  The basic information is there and the clickable links seem to work.

Once we check e-mail addresses at the next class on Thursday, I will send out e-mail about the class only to class members.

Remember–there is a class Thursday evening before the meeting starting at 6 PM.  Be there!

Camp Bell

Come to the meeting Thursday night prepared to choose program for your patrol if you are going to Bell.

Four items of interest

For the meeting tonight:

1.  Because a trainer has just canceled out because of a conflict, I need at least one, and I could use more, adults who know about splinting and bandaging primarily.  Our unit tonight was going to be on that.  If you can do that and if you can show up a few minutes early, we can touch base on what is needed.

2.  Scouts should wear a neckerchief tonight.  You never know when it could prove to be very handy …

And generally …

3.  There are several Scouts looking for Eagle projects.  If we can meet next week at 7 PM that would help a great deal.

4.  After some delay, I think we are ready for a Citizenship in the Community class.  It will last four weeks and end with a mini Town Meeting.  I would like to know if Monday from 3:30 – 5:00 PM would catch most of those who want to take part.

Hastings Boardwalk Eagle Project

Hi all,

Thank you to all those who came today and for all of your hard work.  The Hastings Board Walk was finished after 9 hours of hard labor.  Feel free to stop by and check it out!  I couldn’t have done it with out everyone’s help.

Hidden Valley Merit Badge Selection

To all Hidden Valley Summer Camp Scouts:

It is time to select Merit Badges for Hidden Valley Summer Camp. Each scout needs to pick 3 Merit Badges he would like to work on at camp with a 4th back-up choice just in case. Attached you will find the 2011 Merit Badge schedule. This lists the Merit Badges offered this year and the time slots to help you make your selections. Scouts should select and number 4 merit badges in order of preference (1,2,3,4).

I will need your info by the May 26 meeting at the latest.

Please see me Thursday at the meeting with any questions,

Lynn Eriksen
