[...] We have been invited to take up to 25 Scouts and up to 10 adults to the West Point Camporee in May. This is a very popular outing, with many competitive events, merit badge courses, Army displays, and other activities. It is organized by the West Point Cadets, with assistance from Soldiers at the post. The flavor seems very similar to the National Jamboree. We’ve gone to this event for the past three years, but this may be our last for a while – our sponsor, Troop 160 Assistant Scoutmaster Zach Griffiths, is graduating from the Academy in May. [...]
