Troop 160 in Lexington Massachusetts was founded in 1954 and has been in continuous operation for over 65 years.
We will meet on Thursdays starting at 7 pm at the RFK Hall at St. Brigid Catholic Church.
Our Scouts are from Lexington and neighboring towns. All boys 11 to 17 years old are welcome to join. It is not a requirement of Boy Scouts to have graduated from Cub Scouts.
We go to Summer Camp for two weeks every August at Camp Bell and Hidden Valley Scout Camp in Gilmanton Iron Works, New Hampshire. These camps are run by New Hampshire’s Daniel Webster Council.
We have a weekend camping trip nearly every month. We believe, "Scouting is Outing!"
We also have "high adventure" summer trips such as backpacking Philmont Scout Ranch (New Mexico), canoeing at the Matagamon Wilderness (Maine), and sailing at the Florida Sea Base (Florida Keys).
The boys have a lot of fun, and Scouting is one of the few programs that develops leadership skills. Troop 160 is particularly proud of the more than 100 Eagle Scouts who have graduated from the program.
We believe that all boys should be able to participate in Scouting. Those who have financial constraints should contact us regarding financial aid.
Troop 160 belongs to the Boy Scouts of America Spirit of Adventure Council.
